Synergus welcomes new member of the Evidence Synthesis and Value Development Team

We are happy to announce that experienced statistician and researcher, Olga Rebrova, PhD, Professor, has joined Synergus Evidence Synthesis and Value Development team in September 2016. Olga will be primarily involved in development of value, HTA and reimbursement dossiers, as well as statistical analysis and design of clinical studies for medical devices. Olga's CV is presented below.

 

Olga Rebrova, MD, PhD, Professor

Olga Rebrova is a biostatistician and mathematician of over 30 years’ experience in academic research, clinical trials and evidence synthesis. Her research interests also include data mining and artificial intelligence. She has M.S. in Medical cybernetics (Russian National Research Medical University, Moscow, Russia), Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Control in medical and biological systems, and D.Hab. in Nervous diseases and System analysis, control and processing of information in medicine. Her employment experience includes researcher position at the Laboratory of Biochemistry and 15 years of head position at the Laboratory of Medical Informatics at the Institute of Neurology, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Moscow, Russia. For 9 years she is professor at the Dept. of Medical Cybernetics and Informatics of the Russian National Research Medical University. For 6 years Olga is involved in evidence synthesis (including meta-analysis and indirect comparisons) and mathematical modeling at the Laboratory for Health Technology Assessment, Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Her teaching experience include lectures on data analysis, evidence-based medicine and clinical epidemiology, information technologies for medicine and healthcare, supervision of under- and postgraduate students, and consulting on clinical study design and data analysis.

She is vice-president of the Russian Society for Evidence Based Medicine, member of the Russian Association on Artificial Intelligence, Russian Association of Neuroinformatics, and the Russian Society of Pharmacoeconomics. Olga participated in EUnetHTA Workpackage for Core Model on Rapid REA, and ISROR activities. Editorial activities include the membership in the editorial boards of several russian journals ("Medical Technologies. Assessment and Choice", "Russian Allergology Journal", "Problems of Endocrinology"). Olga is the statistical reviewer for "Stroke" (published by American Heart Association, IF 5.729). Olga has more than 250 scientific publications. She is the author of bestseller "Statistical analysis of medical data".
