List of proposal of NordDRG change to Nordic Casemix Center from January to March 2016

The Nordic Casemix Center is a forum were DRG expert representatives from the Nordic countries can meet and discuss the NordDRG system. Several new cases regarding DRG chanes and grouping logic questions / issues are opened for discussion every month in their online discussion Forum. From the beggining of 2016, the cases listed below were opened, all with a target of making decision for year of 2017:

  • Extracorporeal VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) does not fit with cases in DRG 103 (Heart transplant and implantation of VAD), Start date: 2016-03-01
  • Correction of procedure properties of procedure codes FN1CA and FN1CB, Start date: 2016-03-01
  • KBE22 OR property correction, Start date: 2016-02-26
  • New groupings properties for ICD-10 code U06.9 that in Sweden got the code text “Infection with Zika Virus”, Start date: 2016-02-26
  • DRG grouping of expensive urinary sphincter prosthesis, Start date: 2016-02-25
  • Cases coded with the procedure AAG50 (Intracranial stereotactic radiosurgery) will in some cases be grouped to DRG 468 or DRG 468O, Start date: 2016-02-25
  • Non-surgical treatment of endocarditis; infection in native valves and prosthetic endocarditis sorts to different DRG groups, Start date: 2016-02-25
  • Stereotactic intracranial radiotherapy only for neurological problems, Start date: 2016-02-25
  • Premature children older than 28 days in SWE NordDRG logic, Start date: 2016-02-25
  • Malignant melanoma of eyelid, Start date: 2016-02-25
